The Krans Kloof hiking trail is a short, but challenging one, depending on the route taken. The trail is situated a few kilometres from the town, Mooinooi in the North West province of South Africa. The parking facilities are good and the road to get to the parking is fair.
You have to book the trail via the Mountain Club of South Africa (https://mcsa.org.za/). Prices are available when making the booking.
In terms of grade of the hike, the route we used was easy with one or two slightly elevated climbs. There are other routes where you go down into the gorge, and those can get technical and tough.
